4-H is an excellent program for kids to join. It's not just animal based with cooking, sewing, firearms, archery, woodworking and many other programs available then what I listed.  I am a volunteer poultry leader with 4-H  and a certified salmonella pullorum tester. Anyone can become a leader and more mentors are needed so no matter what your good at, a kid can learn from you. Contact the M.S.U. extension or your local extension office and volunteer today.
